By the time I graduated I was the first person in my bloodline to become an international artist. I went to South Africa for my art and was interviewed at biggest radio station in the country.
I built a business from nothing as an immigrant straight out of college. No safety net. No blueprint. Visibly Muslim in rooms that weren't built for me.
“You should get more experience first. Get a stable job with your degree.”
No thank you. I leaped.
I EMPTIED my savings to learn from the best in the industry.
